Family engagement in the school community is an important factor in increasing student engagement and a sense of belonging. Families who are able to interact with school communication easily are more likely to respond and interact with the school. Accessible communication also means that families will get updates on their student more reliably which will help them be able to intervene in a timely manner. Email and text message show to be the most preferred methods at every school level for Newport.
