School districts provide programming and resources for students to improve their academic performance, socialize, or receive supports that they otherwise would not have access to. However, there may be times that families may not even know that these resources exist and because of that may not take advantage of them even if they could be helpful to them and their students. Gauging how happy families are with the communications that inform them of these programs can shed light on any gaps in how the district and schools in Central Falls communicate about what is available to their school community. Generally, Central Falls schools families are happier with their schools’ communications than other families across the state with Calcutt Middle School having the lowest satisfaction with communications, 67%, and still performing better than the state average for middle and high schools at 57% and 61% respectively.
